Re: Sunday football
Of course he is offside as soon as he turns for the ball.
Not a difficult decision as he was jogging out behind the defender, it wasn't a matter of players crossing at speed.

Another cracking goal for that martial.
Mata offside but was running away from goal.

Re: Sunday football
Exactly Sven, if that was Rooney under that challenge? He kicked him and didn't touch the ball?

Re: Sunday football
Blind is one of those utility players who fills in but doesn't really dominate one position.
Poor mans Jonathan Spector

Ward Prowse was kicked in that penalty box incident. Waived away as nothing by ref and commentators. Is it cynical to think it would have been examined more closely it it was at the other end ?

A Naarch win is required as we seem to fare better against top half teams...

Re: Sunday football
I like Blind but I don't think he's a centre-back. He's a midfielder.

No idea how much blind cost, but he sums up why the Dutch won't he at the euro's, as he's as average as they come.

Hadn't heard that either.
On investigation he died of leukaemia ... on 16th July.
Not sure why they took so long to acknowledge him.
Always remember that he and Steve Heighway (& Steve Coppell?) were university graduates which was thought astonishing. It would probably be even more so for footballers now!

1-0 Southampton

I know a minutes silence is nothing unusual at Anfield but I didn't realise that Brian Hall had died. Decent player.

What's the odds on Pards blaming the ref?

Lily Hammer 4:53 Sun Sep 20
Re: Sunday football
Better they win than Palace. Fuck it that I don't like them. Palace were higher, therefore I preferred them to lose.

Sven Roeder 4:52 Sun Sep 20
Re: Sunday football
Game decided on a brilliant save by Lloris and a howler from McCarthy

As usual Spurs run it close and come out of the right side of the 'luck'.
To be honest I'd fancy us against both these teams.

Eric DIRE for England? Are things that DISMAL?
